Really dont like the news link

So i paid to remove ads. but there is this intrusive "news" link right on the screen. over a cbal no less.

This means quite often I accidentally hit the news button and then some pop up link takes over the screen and then touching it takes you out of the app to the app store. No thanks right.
I just want to play drums without this harassment.
